Retro Recipe: Bourbon Balls

Ingredients:
Makes 5 dozen in just under an hour!
  • 1 12 ounce package vanilla wafers, finely crushed
  • 1 cup chopped pecans, toasted
  • 3/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa
  • 1/2 cup bourbon; use the good stuff!
  • 2 1/2 tablespoons light corn syrup
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar for coating
Preparation:
In large bowl, stir together first 4 ingredients until well blended. In small bowl, mix bourbon and corn syrup until combined. Pour bourbon mixture into wafer mixture and mix until well blended. Shape into 1 inch balls; roll in powdered sugar. Cover and chill for up to 2 weeks.
